About Boss Components
Boss Components is Australia's specialist supplier of precision-machined competition shooting accessories, serving IPSC and USPSA competitors across Australia and worldwide. Founded and run by active competitive shooters Mark and Darren, the company designs and stocks CNC-machined accessories for the platforms that win Australian and international IPSC matches.

Mark and Darren are active IPSC competitors who design, test and sell the parts they compete with. Every product in the Boss Components range is match-tested before listing. If a magwell, base pad or recoil spring doesn't hold up through at least 1,000 rounds of practice and a full match, it doesn't get listed.

Returns
We will honour a 30-day change-of-mind refund as long as the part has not been fitted or attempted to be fitted, and is not damaged, scratched, marked, or in any condition that stops us from reselling it as brand new. All returns must be sent back with postage paid by the customer. Every return is inspected on arrival, and if the part is verified as faulty, we will reimburse your return on standard postage only. Took me a while before I could notice any difference. Needs to be tuned with recoil springs
excellent service , and product little to no fitting by my gunsmith , took the gun to the ACTION PISTOL NATIONALS AND WORLD CHAMPION SHIPS IN TOOWOOMBA , WORKED LIK IT SHOULD HAVE .
These basepads are exactly what I wanted. They have a good amount of heft to them for smooth reloads, the fit and finish on them is excellent (better than the OEM), and they look fantastic on the Blaze 👌
They slipped right onto Bul Armory proprietary magazines (but do require a baseplate), and remove the need for a hammer and pin to take them apart, making quick cleans between stages a breeze.
I bought this after my average pistol cases didn't quite fit my Blaze. This is definitely a *big* pistol case; my Blaze absolutely disappears in there! Quality zipper, good padding, looks great 👌

I wanted to give you an update after spending some time with the pistol.
I took your advice and changed my thumb position slightly — I'm now holding my thumb more toward the front and wrapping it around the thumb rest. With that grip, the slide is now locking open with an empty magazine.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction on how to use the thumb rest. It made a noticeable difference.
So, here's the new matrix for you:

I put the Boss Components G10 Palm Swell Grips in stealth black on my CZ Shadow 2 OR competition gun (with no magwell), and they are spectacular. The aggressive G10 knurling locks the gun into my grip perfectly and performs flawlessly even with sweaty hands, providing zero slippage during rapid strings of fire. The ergonomic palm swell fills the hand beautifully, giving me the rock-solid stability and control needed for Pistol New Zealand Action Pistol and CMP Bianchi Cup matches. Plus, the stealth black look gives the pistol a clean, professional aesthetic. It is an exceptional, match-grade upgrade!
I mounted these Boss Components G10 Palm Swell Grips using the factory CZ Torx grip screws, and the fitment is absolute perfection. The screw holes are precision-machined to the exact depth, allowing the stock Torx screws to seat completely flush without binding or protruding into the magazine well. Even after grueling, high-round-count strings of fire, the grips stay securely anchored with zero shifting, backing out, or loosening.
If you are running a CZ Shadow 2 OR with custom low-power-factor reloads, the 10lb Boss Components Progressive Spring is a game-changer. I swapped this into my optics-ready setup to tune it specifically for my tailored hand loads, and the performance is incredible. It tracks beautifully, eliminates slide dip, and ensures 100% cycling reliability even with lower-pressure rounds. The progressive rate does a fantastic job of absorbing the recoil while keeping the dot steady in the glass. It is an absolute must-have for anyone looking to optimize their Shadow 2 competition rig!
I installed the Boss Components Progressive Spring into my CZ Shadow 2 Optics Ready (OR), and it has been absolutely stellar. After extensive use, it has run smoothly without a single incident, hitch, or malfunction. The progressive tension is a perfect match for the Shadow 2's slide weight, delivering a noticeably smoother recoil impulse and keeping the red dot tracking flat for incredibly fast follow-up shots. Just recently added an extended mag release to a new CZ TS2 green. Let me tell you, without it there’s no way I could release the mag without twisting my hand around and shooting spectators 😝. The extended release fits straight on, very good quality and does what it says.
I shoot a custom CZ and was looking for a polymer grip with a palm swell profile. The grip fits my hands perfectly, and I have full control! The only issue was that the grip panels didn't match my magwell, causing the rear corners to dig into my hand. My Dremel helped out there. Now everything is perfect.
I am so happy that I got the tungsten. Guide rod the amount of weight. It adds to the front of the barrel, makes shooting so much flatter and smoother. My CZ shadow 2 doesn't even move when I pull the trigger. Thank you for this
