Boss Components CZ 75 / Shadow 1 / Shadow 2 Competition Shock Buffer Tuning Pack – 6 Pack - 2mm & 3.5mm
Choose Your Thickness. Tune Your Setup.
The Boss Components CZ 75 / Shadow 1 / Shadow 2 Competition Shock Buffer Tuning Pack gives competition shooters two buffer thicknesses in one pack, allowing you to fine-tune your pistol to suit your loads, recoil spring, and preferred setup, while helping reduce slide-to-frame impact during cycling.
Each pack includes 3 × 2mm and 3 × 3.5mm Shock Buffers, giving you the flexibility to test both thicknesses and find the combination that works best with your pistol and ammunition.
2mm & 3.5mm – Tune It Your Way
Different loads, recoil springs, and pistol setups can benefit from different amounts of slide travel and cushioning. That's why Boss Components gives you both thicknesses in every Tuning Pack.
- 2mm Shock Buffer – A thinner profile for minimal reduction in slide travel while still providing effective shock absorption.
- 3.5mm Shock Buffer – A thicker profile providing increased cushioning and a greater reduction in slide travel.
Having both options allows you to experiment with your setup and determine which thickness provides the cycling characteristics, recoil feel, and performance you prefer.
Which Thickness Should I Use?
The ideal Shock Buffer thickness will depend on your ammunition, recoil spring, and overall pistol setup.
- Start with the 2mm Buffer if you want maximum available slide travel with less additional cushioning. It's a great starting point when tuning your setup.
- Try the 3.5mm Buffer for additional cushioning and reduced slide travel. Depending on your load and recoil spring combination, the thicker buffer may provide the feel and cycling characteristics you prefer.
Because both thicknesses are included in every pack, you don't have to choose before you buy. Test both with your normal competition ammunition and recoil spring setup to determine which provides the best combination of reliable cycling, recoil feel, and overall performance for your pistol.
Tuning Tip: Whenever changing buffer thickness, ammunition, or recoil spring weight, test your pistol thoroughly before competition use to confirm reliable feeding, cycling, and slide operation.
Reduce Impact. Protect Your CZ. Keep Performing.
Manufactured from high-density polyurethane, the Boss Components Shock Buffer provides a cushioning barrier between critical components, helping to reduce metal-to-metal impact between the slide and frame during cycling.
For competition and high-volume shooters, it's a simple drop-in component that can help reduce unnecessary impact while providing another useful tuning option for your pistol.
