Installation

Difficulty: Easy. Remove factory base plate, slide on the extension, and secure with the included grub screw. Under 5 minutes per magazine. Apply threadlocker to the grub screw for reliable retention under recoil.

Will this .308 magazine extension fit Gen II Magpul PMAGs?

No. This extension is designed exclusively for Gen III (Series III) Magpul PMAG .308 magazines. Gen II uses a different base plate geometry and is not compatible.

Do I need threadlocker for the .308 mag extension?

Recommended. The grub screw holds firm under normal use, but repeated heavy recoil from .308 loads can loosen it over time. A drop of medium-strength threadlocker (blue Loctite 243) ensures it stays put through competition and training.

Is the Pack of 3 the same product as the single extension?

Yes — identical CNC-machined aluminium extensions, just bundled at a better per-unit price for shooters kitting out multiple magazines.
