Division notes
- IPSC Production and Production Optics only allow the aftermarket parts listed in rule 19 (magazines, sights, grip panels, springs, trigger assemblies and hammers), so this part is not for those divisions (IPSC Handgun Rules, Jan 2026, Appendix D4 and D4a, rule 19). Check your division rules before match day.

Installation
Field strip your CZ TS/TSO as normal. Remove the factory guide rod and recoil spring. Transfer your recoil spring onto the tungsten guide rod and reassemble. No fitting or modification required — it's a direct dimensional replacement for the factory part.

Will the 5.4-inch tungsten guide rod fit a CZ Shadow 2?
No. The CZ TS, TSO use a longer 5.4-inch guide rod. The CZ Shadow 2 uses a shorter rod — see our CZ Shadow 2 Tungsten Guide Rod for that model.
Do I need a different recoil spring with the tungsten guide rod?
Not necessarily. The tungsten rod uses the same recoil spring as the factory rod. However, some shooters fine-tune spring weight to optimise the feel with the heavier rod — this is personal preference.
How much difference does 27g of extra guide rod weight really make?
At the front of the pistol, 27g is substantial. The added forward weight measurably reduces muzzle rise, which translates to faster split times in competition. The difference is immediately noticeable.
