What's the difference between this and the Extended Magazine Release?

This button is a standard-profile replacement with an improved contact surface. The Extended Magazine Release has additional reach — ideal for shooters with smaller hands who struggle to reach the factory button.

Is this legal for IPSC Production division?

No. Aftermarket mag release buttons are not on the IPSC Production list of allowed aftermarket parts (IPSC Handgun Rules, Jan 2026, Appendix D4, rule 19). It is designed for IPSC Standard and Open. Check your division rules before match day.

Will this fit the CZ 75 SP-01?

No. This is specifically designed for the CZ Shadow 2. The SP-01 uses a different magazine release mechanism.

Can I install this without removing the grips?

You'll need to remove one grip panel to access the magazine release retaining pin, but it's a quick and straightforward job.
