Division Compliance

This combo is legal for IPSC Standard and Open divisions as well as USPSA Limited and Open divisions. Aftermarket grips are permitted in every major division, but the magwell is not permitted in IPSC Production or USPSA Production. If combining with other heavy upgrades (brass grips, tungsten guide rod), verify total pistol weight against the limits in the current IPSC or USPSA rulebook.

What's the difference between this and the Aluminium Magwell Combo?
This Competition Bundle uses a solid brass magwell that adds significant weight for recoil control. The Aluminium Magwell Combo is lightweight for speed-focused shooters. Choose brass for stability, aluminium for agility.

Can I run the brass magwell in IPSC Production?
No. Magwells are not permitted in IPSC Production or USPSA Production. They are legal in IPSC Standard and Open, and in USPSA Limited and Open. If you are stacking other heavy upgrades (brass grips, tungsten guide rod), weigh your complete pistol against the weight limit for your division in the current rulebook.

Do I need special magazine base pads?
Yes. Boss magwells require Boss-compatible base pads for reliable insertion. Standard factory base pads may not feed smoothly through the magwell funnel.

Can I upgrade to brass grips later for maximum weight?
Yes. Our brass grips are available separately and pair perfectly with this brass magwell for the ultimate weight-optimised setup.

Which grip material should I choose?
G10 is lightweight and extremely durable with a refined texture. Carbide offers more aggressive texture. For maximum weight addition, consider purchasing brass grips separately instead.

CZ Shadow 2 Grips & Brass Magwell Combo

100% best magwell out there. Blended and angled perfectly and provides good support to your grip. I've tried quite a few, and this one not only looks the best but performs the best too and is a fraction of the cost of other top brands. The carbide grip surface has good traction but the flat carbide grips are slightly thicker than the factory duralumin grips. Some may or may not prefer that. Darren was able to help me out with a custom request and shipping was fast.

These grips and magwell turn a CZ shadow 2 into a super gun on steroids ! The grip is just what I wanted , even if your hands sweat they are stuck in there and the magwell makes reloads so simple and effortless that it feels like cheating ! You will need extended basepads for the magwell because stock pads won’t work so do your research .

Great set of grips. Tho the core of the grip plates are 3d printed it is a very sturdy fit and there is no flex in them. The mag well is heavy and fits very well.
