Add front-end weight to your CZ Tactical Sport, TSO with this precision-ground tungsten guide rod. At 47g versus the factory 20g steel rod, this direct drop-in replacement more than doubles the weight at the muzzle — reducing muzzle flip for faster split times in IPSC and USPSA competition. No fitting required; uses your existing recoil spring.
Over Double the Weight of Your Factory Guide Rod
The Tungsten 5.4-Inch Guide Rod is a direct drop-in replacement for the factory guide rod in CZ TS, CZ TSO pistols. At 47g versus the factory 20g steel rod, it more than doubles the weight at the front of your pistol — reducing muzzle flip and keeping your sights on target between shots. Purpose-built for competition shooters who want faster follow-up shots.

Division notes
- Designed for IPSC Standard and Open. IPSC Production and Production Optics only allow the aftermarket parts listed in rule 19 (magazines, sights, grip panels, springs, trigger assemblies and hammers), so this part is not for those divisions (IPSC Handgun Rules, Jan 2026, Appendix D4 and D4a, rule 19). Check your division rules before match day.
This rod adds 27 g to the front of the pistol.

- CZ TS (Tactical Sport)
- CZ TSO (Tactical Sport Orange)
- Does NOT fit CZ Shadow 2, CZ SP-01, or standard CZ 75 models (these use a shorter guide rod)

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the 5.4-inch tungsten guide rod fit a CZ Shadow 2?
No. The CZ TS, TSO use a longer 5.4-inch guide rod. The CZ Shadow 2 uses a shorter rod — see our CZ Shadow 2 Tungsten Guide Rod for that model.
Do I need a different recoil spring with the tungsten guide rod?
Not necessarily. The tungsten rod uses the same recoil spring as the factory rod. However, some shooters fine-tune spring weight to optimise the feel with the heavier rod — this is personal preference.
How much difference does 27g of extra guide rod weight really make?
At the front of the pistol, 27g is substantial. The added forward weight measurably reduces muzzle rise, which translates to faster split times in competition. The difference is immediately noticeable.
