Division notes
This kit is designed for IPSC Standard and Open. The magwell and the mag release button are not allowed in IPSC Production or Production Optics (IPSC Handgun Rules, Jan 2026, Appendix D4 and D4a, rules 18.1 and 19). In Standard, the pistol with the magwell fitted must fit the IPSC box (225 x 150 x 45 mm). Check your division rules before match day.

Installation

Magazine release: Push out the retaining pin, swap the button (~5 min). Grips: Remove factory panels, install new grips (~5 min). Magwell: Bolt on with included hardware (~5 min). Spring tool is for ongoing maintenance — not required for initial installation.

Do I need special magazine base pads for the Boss Components magwell?
Yes. Boss magwells require Boss-compatible base pads for optimal function. Standard factory base pads may not seat reliably through the funnel.
Can I choose flat grips instead of palm swell in this kit?
