CZ Shadow 2 Red Dot Mount Options
Dovetail Mount — The most popular option. Replaces the rear sight and mounts directly to the dovetail cut already in your Shadow 2's slide. No milling, no gunsmith. Reverses to factory configuration. Compatible with RMR, Holosun 507C/EPS/HE509, Leupold DPP and other common footprints.
Optic Ready Mount — For Shadow 2 OR models that have the factory optics cut on the slide. The direct-mounting plate fits with no adapter. More rigid than a dovetail solution and maintains a lower optic height.
Bundle Kits — Mount plus extended firing pin and fitting tools. Recommended for new installs.
What Division Can I Use a Red Dot On My CZ Shadow 2?
- IPSC Production: No red dot allowed. Iron sights only.
- IPSC Production Optics: Red dot allowed. Dovetail mount is legal.
- IPSC Standard: Red dot allowed with optic mount. Magwell also legal.
- USPSA Carry Optics: Red dot allowed. Must weigh within division limits.
Which mount should you buy?
Start with your slide. A standard Shadow 2 with the factory rear dovetail takes the CZ Shadow 2 dovetail red dot mount, which uses the cut already in the slide and reverses back to irons if you change divisions. A Shadow 2 OR with the factory optic recess takes the optic ready red dot mount, which bolts direct to the slide and sits lower.
If this is your first optic install, the kits save you sourcing the extra parts separately: the dovetail red dot mount bundle and the CZ Shadow 2 red dot mount kit.
Confirm your optic footprint on the product page before ordering, and check current division rules with your match organiser before you shoot it.
