A sensible upgrade order
From a stock Shadow 2: grips, magwell, reload, then optics. Grips change your index, and in brass they add weight where it helps. A magwell makes the reload forgiving. An extended magazine release and magwell-ready base pads make it fast. A red dot mount comes last, because it changes how you aim and is worth doing once the rest is settled.
Magwell-cut versus full-length grips
This one is easy to get wrong. If you run a magwell, you need grips cut to clear it — that is what “magwell cut” means in the product titles. Full-length grips are for pistols without a magwell. Grips of the wrong cut will not seat correctly against the funnel, which is why the combo listings exist: the two arrive matched.
