Division Compliance
This combo is legal for IPSC Standard and Open divisions as well as USPSA Limited, Limited Optics, Carry Optics, and Open divisions. Aftermarket grips are permitted in every major division, but the magwell is not permitted in IPSC Production or USPSA Production. The lightweight aluminium construction keeps total pistol weight down where your division sets a weight limit — check the current IPSC or USPSA rulebook for the figure that applies to you.

This Speed Bundle uses a lightweight aluminium magwell — ideal for shooters who want fast reloads without adding weight. The Brass Magwell Combo adds significant mass for recoil control. Choose aluminium for speed, brass for stability.
Is this IPSC Production legal?
No. The aftermarket grips are fine for Production, but the magwell is not permitted in IPSC Production. Magwells are legal in IPSC Standard and Open, and in USPSA Limited, Limited Optics, Carry Optics and Open. Check the current IPSC rulebook before match day.
Do I need special magazine base pads?
Yes. Boss magwells require Boss-compatible base pads for reliable insertion. Standard factory base pads may not feed smoothly through the magwell funnel.
What's the difference between G10 and Carbide grips?
G10 is a fibreglass-laminate composite — lightweight, extremely durable, with a refined texture. Carbide/plastic grips offer more aggressive texture at a lower price. Both perform well in competition.
Should I choose Palm Swell or Flat?
Palm Swell fills your hand for better ergonomics and control — most competition shooters prefer this. Flat grips are slimmer and suit smaller hands or those wanting a traditional profile.
