Designed by shooters for shooters
Boss Projectiles are proudly manufactured locally within South Australia.

All projectiles are sized and polished post-manufacturing to ensure performance and consistency round after round.

Why use copper electroplating vs traditional methods

Pistol shooters know that barrels accumulate lead over time, even when using powder-coated or other baked-on coating methods. Some coatings may leave minute traces of lead, and they will eventually build up lead deposits in the barrel. Lead build-up can cause inaccuracy and, if not removed, may result in dangerous pressure fluctuations.

Electroplating copper coats our copper-coated projectiles on top of the lead. Copper, while flexible, bonds strongly to lead and keeps its form better than other coating methods. When using copper-coated bullets, airborne lead is reduced.

Take care not to over-crimp projectiles, just as you would with any other type of coating, as it may remove the outer layer and expose the lead.
